Joshua Toenyes has worked in the software engineering industry since 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they were a freelance web developer and then a Senior Web Developer at Webgrain. In 2012, they worked as a Web Developer at SweetLabs, Inc. and in 2013 they were a Network Engineer at Serco. From 2016 onward, they have been a Co-Founder of Cardsetter and an independent contractor/consultant focusing on web technologies and full-stack LAMP or MEAN development. Prior to this, they served in the US Navy from 2003 to 2011, where they held various leadership and operational positions, including Leading Petty Officer at Commander US Third Fleet and Officer of the Deck and Combat Systems Officer of the Watch aboard the USS Bunker Hill.
Joshua Toenyes received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) (Magna Cum Laude) in Computer Science from UC San Diego between 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from San Diego City College between 2008 and 2012.
