Jorge Fonseca

Jorge Fonseca is a seasoned leader in data strategy and governance, currently serving as the Director of Data Strategy & Architecture at CardWorks since January 2020. In this role, Jorge oversees the organization's Data Governance Program, addressing key areas such as data quality, standardization, and architecture. Previously, Jorge spent nearly 15 years at HSBC in various senior roles, including Risk & Finance Data Governor, where responsibilities encompassed the implementation of global data management policies and collaboration with risk teams on data governance. As Senior Vice President for CCAR Data & Technology, Jorge supported regulatory production activities and led initiatives that resulted in successful outcomes with the Federal Reserve Bank. Earlier career experiences at American Express involved financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis, supporting international banking and investment products. Jorge holds a BA in Economics from Fordham University and is an alumnus of the Fordham Gabelli School of Business.
