Nagesh Vempaty

Nagesh Vempaty, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in various technology and healthcare-related roles. Nagesh is currently serving as Chief Scientist at care.ai, where they are responsible for leading scientific initiatives. Prior to this, they worked at Mahathi Software Corporation as CTO/Atomic Nerd, where they focused on solving real-world problems in healthcare and developing innovative products and algorithms. Nagesh also worked as CTO at Epiance, leading technology, IP, and product architecture. Nagesh served as VP of Technology/Engineering at Aalayance, where they built teams and core competencies in various industries. Earlier in their career, Nagesh worked at Healtheon as an MTS.

Nagesh Vempaty, PhD, began their educational journey in 1982 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they pursued a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. Nagesh completed this program in 1986. Subsequently, from 1986 to 1988, Nagesh Vempaty enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin to obtain a Master's Degree in Computer Science. Afterward, they continued at the same university, completing their education in 1990 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science.
