Caroline Richardson

Caroline Richardson serves as Chair of Family Medicine at Brown Medical School and Chief of Service for Family Medicine at Care New England, both since August 2022. Furthermore, Richardson holds the position of Editor In Chief for the Annals of Family Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School since June 2019. Previous roles include Associate Chair of Research in the Department of Family Medicine, where Richardson led a division of 20 health researchers, and Health Services Researcher at the University of Michigan for over two decades. Notably, Richardson was a principal investigator for the VA Diabetes Prevention Demonstration Project and directed the VA Diabetes Quality Enhancement Research Initiative. Educational credentials include an MD from Harvard Medical School and dual BS degrees in Mathematics and Theoretical Math from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
