Tom Ward is an accomplished professional with an extensive career in data management and change leadership across various sectors. Since March 2018, Tom has served as Head of Data at CQC and NHS Improvement, while also holding the position of Head of Information and Systems at the Care Quality Commission since April 2009. Prior to these roles, Tom managed the Business Change Function at the Healthcare Commission, leading significant organizational changes. Tom has a notable background in the Royal Bank of Scotland, where roles included Director of Change Management during major mergers and Senior IS/IT Manager responsible for significant IS/IT operations. Tom's academic credentials include a PhD in Electrophysiology from Leicester University Medical School and a BSc in Biological Sciences from Lancaster University. Currently, Tom is retired, having discontinued formal professional engagement since August 2021.
