CEO & Co-Founder at Care Weather

Patrick Walton is the CEO and co-founder of Care Weather. Prior to this, they were the VP of Business Development and Operations at Sugarhouse Aerospace, where they created the vision and business model for launching tiny $100 spacecraft across the Karman line using market research and customer interviews. This led to the company’s first customers, two business competition wins, and angel funding. Patrick has also interned at L3Harris Technologies as an RF & Antenna Engineering Intern, where they re-designed an RF communications filter bank and local oscillator chain, including isolation cavities and control electronics, using X-Microwave’s modular prototyping system. This resulted in approval to build and test the design. Patrick also analyzed S-parameter data using AWR Microwave Office, demonstrating minimal impact of Parylene coating on microwave circuit performance. Patrick is currently a NASA Earth Science Fellow and Future Investigator, as well as the founder and project engineer of Passive Inspection CubeSats Mission (PICs).

Patrick Walton received their Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same school. Patrick's educational background also includes training in Percussion Performance, Vocal Performance, Architectural Drafting, and Mechanical Drafting from Timpview High School.
