Rich Almada

Rich Almada serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at CareAbout Health since February 2024. Prior to this role, Rich held several significant positions at Optum, including COO of the OptumCare Network of Connecticut and Senior Vice President at ProHealth Physicians, where responsibilities involved negotiating high-stakes global risk arrangements and overseeing various operational aspects to optimize performance. Rich's previous experience includes Vice President roles at ProHealth Physicians and HealthyCT, as well as a long tenure at Aetna, where leadership included managing acquisitions, network relationships, and enhancing healthcare quality. Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Connecticut.
