Ali Assad

Ali Assad has worked in various roles since 2010. In 2010, they worked as a Data Manager at ACSOR Surveys. In 2013, they were a Product Manager at Tetra Tech. In 2014, they were a Participant at Startup Weekend, a Client at Innovation Factory Hamilton, and an IT Research Analyst at RHPCS - McMaster University. Additionally, they founded SavvyList, a grocery smartphone application. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Senior Business Analyst at McMaster University and was responsible for leading cross-functional teams, completing user research, and submitting financial data analysis and reporting. Currently, they are a Product Owner at ABELSoft Inc., where they are responsible for defining, executing, and delivering product vision and strategy for product roadmaps, as well as collaborating with UX, engineering, marketing, and sales teams. In 2022, they will be a Product Manager at CareCru.

Ali Assad obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Osmania University between 2006 and 2009. Ali then went on to earn a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from McMaster University between 2014 and 2016. Additionally, Ali has obtained certifications in CCNA from Cisco and MCSA from Microsoft.
