Omar Nawaz Awan

Omar Nawaz Awan is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management across various industries. Currently serving as Group Senior Director of Accounting at Careem since November 2019, Omar previously held the role of Global Process Owner - Source to Pay at VEON, where responsibilities included leading process analysis and transformation initiatives. With a notable tenure at Telenor, Omar managed multiple functions including strategic partner management, internal audit, and financial closing and reporting, while also serving as Chief Financial Officer. Early career experiences include roles at NADRA as Assistant Manager Accounts and as Supervisor Audit at Deloitte, building a strong foundation in accounting and auditing practices.
