Sheila Thompson has extensive experience in the field of education and program management, currently serving as the Postsecondary Coordinator for Accreditation, Data Reporting, and Compliance at C-TEC of Licking County since August 2013. Prior to this role, Thompson held various positions at C-TEC, including School Improvement Coordinator from August 2003 to February 2013, and worked as Project Manager at The Ohio State University's National Research and Dissemination Center for Career and Technical Education from March 2000 to August 2003. Thompson's career began at the Ohio Department of Education, where from October 1988 to March 2000, responsibilities included overseeing gender equity initiatives, Perkins Grants, and curriculum development. Thompson holds a Master of Science in Career-Technical Education with a focus on Adult Workforce Development and Secondary Principal Licensure from The Ohio State University, and a high school diploma from Grove City High School.

Our mission is clear: ”provide all learners with academic and technical skills needed for career opportunities and continuous learning.” The majority of tomorrow’s jobs will require people to have technical training. The technical curriculum at C-TEC's High School and Adult Education Center prepares students to enter the workforce and/or a two or four-year college degree programs. In addition to our High School and Adult Education Center, C-TEC offers Customized Training to local employers to assure that their employees have the technical skills necessary to succeed. Customized Training is available around the clock on and off-site.
