Derrick Shirley is a seasoned psychologist and consultant with extensive experience in counseling, keynote speaking, and facilitating workshops. Since May 2004, Derrick has led Shirley Psychological Services Inc., focusing on individual and group counselling for various issues, including problem eating habits, work-related stress, and depression. Derrick also serves as a certified career consultant for Career Partners International, providing support during career transitions. Previously, Derrick facilitated parenting and communication workshops for the Government of Alberta and has experience counseling First Nations youth. Derrick’s academic credentials include a Master’s in Applied Psychology from the University of Calgary and a Professional Certification in Cross-Cultural Counselling from the University of British Columbia. Additionally, Derrick has held leadership positions, including Vice President of the Port Stanley Village Association and facilitated workshops at the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter.
