Paula Phillips Burns

Paula Phillips Burns has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Paula Phillips started their career as a Community Health Planner at the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida, where they coordinated health planning activities for multiple counties. Paula Phillips then worked at the Duval County Health Department, first as a Contract Manager and later as a Center Administrator, responsible for managing an infectious disease clinic. Paula Phillips then joined the Florida Department of Health as the Assistant Director of Clinical Services before returning to the Duval County Health Department as a Research Associate and Project Manager.

In 2011, Paula joined the Florida Department of Health-St. Johns County as the Director of Disease Control and Health Protection. Paula Phillips managed various programmatic activities and grants, conducted disease investigations, and provided leadership and supervision to a team of staff members. Paula Phillips also served as the Project Manager for the Ryan White Part C Grant.

Paula Phillips'smost recent position was as the Director of Operations at CareerSource North Central Florida, where they directed and coordinated all operational activities of the organization, including managing business customers and job seeker participants, developing organizational processes, and ensuring system functioning and performance.

Paula Phillips Burns received a Master's Degree in Community Health, Health Education, and Health Promotion from the University of North Florida. Paula Phillips completed their studies at the university from 1997 to 1999.
