Carmella Blackshear has extensive experience in education and workforce development, currently serving as an Instructor at Wharton County Junior College since September 2010, where the primary responsibility includes teaching GED coursework. Since February 2005, Carmella has also been a Facilitator at Workforce Solutions, providing job search classes and offering vocational, employment, and academic advisement. Additionally, Carmella taught an Introductory English class at Houston Community College for a brief period in 2010. Carmella holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University - East Bay.

CareerSource Research Coast connects businesses to qualified talent and people to careers and training opportunities in Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie counties. CareerSource Research Coast is a member of the CareerSource Florida network and is run by a local Board of Directors consisting of private business, economic development and education representatives, community and state agencies, and elected officials. CareerSource Research Coast operates four career centers and offers the following services to career seekers: ~ Job Placement Assistance ~ Resume Building ~ On-the-Job Training We also have a full business services team to provide recruitment, hiring and training assistance to all Research Coast employers. We offer award-winning programs and partnerships recognized locally, statewide and nationally.
