Callie Thuma

Callie Thuma currently serves as the Director of Career Development & Recruitment and Director of Training at CareerWise New York, where responsibilities include creating systems and strategies to enhance student access and success, as well as delivering training for apprentices and staff. Previous experience includes roles at the Institute for Nonprofit Practice as a Leadership and Social Change Fellow, and as Project Director at HERE to HERE, where Callie developed partnerships and systems for the CareerWise New York apprenticeship model. Additional experience encompasses community outreach and program management roles at The Moth and StoryCorps, as well as education-related positions including Lead Special Educator at ARISE Academy. Callie holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and Geography from Macalester College and has completed a cultural immersion program in Fortaleza, Brazil.
