Tonya L. Smith

Tonya L. Smith, DNP, MSN, FNP-BC, currently serves as an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner at CareFirst Urgent Care and holds faculty positions at both Northern Kentucky University and West Coast University. With extensive experience in nursing education, Tonya has previously held roles such as Dean of the RN-BSN Program at Hondros College of Nursing and Nurse Educator at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Additionally, involvement with The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, underscores a commitment to advancing the nursing profession. Educational achievements include a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Ohio University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
