Kurian John

Kurian John is an experienced software engineering leader with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield since September 2012, Kurian leads the Enterprise Product delivery department responsible for software products and services utilized by over 5.5 million customers. Prior experiences include roles as a Software Engineering Manager at CareFirst, where accountability extended to multiple software development teams, and as a Principal Consultant at The College Board, where Kurian was the lead engineer for its inaugural cloud program. Kurian has also contributed to Sprint Nextel as a Technical Architect Team Lead and worked as a Technical Lead at Verizon and a Software Engineer at Infosys Technologies Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering from the College of Engineering Trivandrum.
