Shahzad Shiraz Sundrani

Shahzad Shiraz Sundrani has a diverse work experience in the field of business intelligence and data engineering. Shahzad Shiraz started their career at Datacheck Pvt Ltd as an MIS Officer, where they focused on data gathering, analysis, and reporting. Shahzad Shiraz then moved on to York Business Solution (Pvt.) Ltd, where they worked as a SAS BI Consultant, specializing in anti-money laundering systems implementation and data modeling.

After that, they joined JS Bank as the Manager of BI and AML IT Operations, where they were responsible for the implementation and maintenance of SAS anti-money laundering systems. Shahzad Shiraz also automated data reporting and customized AML scenarios based on business needs.

Shahzad then joined Afiniti as a Data/ETL Engineer, working on the Afiniti product to analyze customer data and optimize the fit between callers and agents using artificial intelligence algorithms. Shahzad Shiraz later became a Principal Data Engineer at Afiniti, where they modified and implemented data models and database management systems.

Shahzad Shiraz also worked at qordata as a Senior Technical Consultant, leading the development of ETL packages for data integration and warehouse projects. At Habib Bank Limited, they served as a Manager of Data Engineering, leading a team in the implementation of a data lake project and data analysis using Hive query language and Impala.

Shahzad's most recent experience includes working at Aga Khan University as a Business Intelligence Specialist, where they led a project on restructuring the data reporting system for a hospital. Currently, they hold the position of Business Intelligence Engineer at ELEMENT Insurance AG, where they develop innovative data solutions to optimize business processes in collaboration with international teams.

Shahzad Shiraz Sundrani completed their Masters of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems, General from the Institute of Business Management from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued their Graduation in Commerce from Karachi University from 2007 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Shahzad has obtained several certifications. Shahzad Shiraz completed the following courses from DataCamp: Data Manipulation with pandas, Data Modeling in Power BI, Data Transformation in Power BI, Data Engineering for Everyone, Data Visualization in Power BI, Introduction to DAX in Power BI, and Introduction to Power BI. Shahzad Shiraz also received the Oracle Developer certification from Ora-Tech in August 2010. Additionally, they completed an International Diploma in Computer Science from NCC Education in 2010, although the specific month is unknown.
