Riya Malhotra

Riya Malhotra currently serves as a Research Assistant at the Public Health Aerobiology Lab under Principal Investigator Donald Milton, Ph.D., and holds the position of Director of Public Relations and Outreach for the Indian Student Association, where responsibilities include managing social media engagement. Additional experience includes an internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where Riya greets and assists service members, and a researcher role with Public Health Beyond Borders, focusing on public health data analysis in Varanasi, India. Previous positions include a Laboratory Assistant and Student Intern at Learning Undefeated, where Riya gained valuable STEM experience, as well as various internships at Adventist HealthCare and the University of Maryland's CHAMP Lab. Riya is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Community Health at the University of Maryland, expected to graduate in 2026.
