Peter Tippett MD PhD has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Peter is the Founder & CEO of careMESH since 2015, where they have developed a new service that allows doctors to seamlessly share patient records and communicate with other clinicians regardless of the EHR platform they use. Prior to this, they served as the Chairman of DataMotion, Inc. from 2015. From 2009 to 2015, they worked at Verizon as the Chief Medical Officer and also held other positions such as VP of Security and Industry Solutions, where they contributed to 28% growth and assisted in risk, compliance, and policy issues. Tippett was the Chairman of MD-IT from 2000 to 2009, overseeing the development of a cloud-based ambulatory "EMR" system. Peter co-founded Cybertrust in 2004 and TruSecure in 1999, where they served as Chairman. Tippett was the CEO of NCSA / ICSA from 1995 to 1999 and worked at Symantec from 1992 to 1995 in Enterprise & Security Products. Peter founded and led Certus International from 1988 to 1992, creating the first antivirus product and winning awards for their products. Tippett also founded and served as CEO of Pacific Foundation from 1982 to 1989.

Peter Tippett MD PhD began their education journey in 1971 at Kalamazoo College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology, General. Following this, they attended Case Western Reserve University from 1976 to 1981, simultaneously earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the School of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry. Peter later joined The Rockefeller University in 1975 as a Research Assistant to R.B. Merrifield, who won the Nobel Prize in 1984. During their time at The Rockefeller University, they focused on Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis.
