David Engler

David Engler is a seasoned data science leader with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as the Director of Customer Data Science at H2O.ai since October 2019, David leads B2B SaaS data science teams, driving tailored machine learning and analytics solutions that generate $1.5 million in annual revenue. Prior to this role, David was a Senior Data Scientist at University of Utah Health, where leadership was provided to a team focused on data-driven organizational strategies. David's academic contributions include a decade-long tenure as a Professor in the Department of Statistics at Brigham Young University, where a year-long capstone course in machine learning and big data analysis was developed and taught. David holds a PhD in Biostatistics from Harvard University and a BA in Philosophy from Brigham Young University.
