Jim Slater

Jim Slater, Pharm.D., is an experienced pharmacy leader with over 25 years of practice in Oregon, currently serving as Chief Pharmacy Officer at CareOregon since November 2010. In this role, Slater drives pharmacy solutions to address the needs of underserved communities, while also holding positions such as Vice President of Pharmacy and Interim Vice President of Medicare within the organization. Prior experience includes leadership roles in clinical pharmacy at Providence Health & Services and teaching positions at Oregon State University and the University of Florida College of Education. Slater holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from Oregon Health & Science University, a specialized residency in Family Medicine & Drug Policy, and degrees in Pharmacy and General Science from Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, respectively.
