Karissa Smith

Vice President, Care Coordination at CareOregon

Karissa Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Karissa started their career as a Family Therapist at DePaul Treatment Center in 2009. Karissa then worked as a Mental Health Clinician at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare from 2010 to 2011. Following that, they joined FamilyCare Health where they held various positions including Behavioral Health Care Coordinator from 2013 to 2016, Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor from 2016 to 2017, and Manager of Care Management from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, Karissa joined CareOregon as the Senior Operations Manager of Population Health and later became the Health Resilience Supervisor. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Care Coordination at CareOregon, a role they have held since July 2019.

Karissa Smith earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Oregon State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling at George Fox University, completing their studies from 2007 to 2010.
