Kelly Coates, PhD, MPH, currently serves as an Evaluation Analyst and Population Health Specialist at CareOregon, where involvement began in August 2018, following a series of roles in quality improvement. Additionally, Kelly holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at Portland State University since September 2016. Previous experience includes directorial and operational roles at Healthy Democracy, teaching mathematics at Northwest Academy, and leadership positions within Special Olympics Oregon. Academic credentials include a PhD in Health Systems & Policy and an MPH in Health Education & Health Promotion, both from Portland State University, alongside a BS from Santa Clara University. Kelly's commitment to public health and community service is further evidenced by board memberships in various organizations, including NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon Foundation and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
