Alexandru Visan

Alexandru Visan has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Alexandru is currently working as the Corporate Medical Director at CarePlus Anesthesia Management since 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of President at QualBiz PA from 2015 onwards. Alexandru also served as the CEO & Co-Founder of Executive Cortex Consulting since 2012. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Barry University from 2019 to 2020. In terms of academic positions, Alexandru was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Miami from 2008 to 2013, and later became a Voluntary Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology from 2013 to 2016. Alexandru also worked as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2003 to 2008, where they also served as the Medical Director of the Regional Anesthesia Division. Prior to their academic roles, Alexandru held the position of Vice President at VIAL, LLC from 1990 to 2008.

Alexandru Visan began their education by attending Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie „Carol Davila” din București from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained an MD in medicine. Alexandru then went on to complete residency in anesthesiology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons from 2000 to 2003. During this time, they also pursued a fellowship in regional anesthesiology at the same institution from 2002 to 2003. In 2011, Alexandru enrolled at the University of Miami Herbert Business School and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Sector Management and Policy in 2012. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Six Sigma Champion at the University of Miami-School of Business in 2012 and obtained the certification of NYSORA, Regional Anesthesiology from NYSORA in June 2003. Alexandru also became a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, ABA#37047, in April 2004. Furthermore, Alexandru completed a course on Model Thinking through Coursera, although the month and year of obtaining the certificate are not specified.
