Kirsty McHugh

Kirsty McHugh is an experienced leader in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as Chief Executive of Carers Trust since February 2022, where efforts focus on transforming the lives of unpaid carers across the UK. Concurrently, Kirsty holds the position of Board Director at Gateway Housing Association and has previously led the Mayor's Fund for London, advocating for opportunities for young Londoners from low-income backgrounds. With a background in various executive roles including Chief Executive of the Employment Related Services Association and Director positions at Business in the Community, Kirsty has a strong track record in influencing policy, managing community programs, and enhancing support for disadvantaged groups. Kirsty’s educational credentials include an MSC in Public Policy and Management from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BA Hons in English Literature and Language from UCL.
