Karen Hooper

Karen Hooper is an experienced professional in the field of foster care and domestic violence support, currently serving as the Carer Engagement and Support Team Leader at CareSouth since December 2020. In this role, Karen leads carer recruitment and support teams across multiple locations, focusing on the recruitment, training, and assessment of new foster carers, while providing ongoing support to current carers. Prior to this position, Karen held the role of Carer Recruitment Team Leader at MacKillop Family Services and worked as a Coordinator for the Domestic Violence Accommodation Assistance Program at BaptistCare NSW & ACT. Karen's previous experience also includes project administration at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice and family dispute resolution at Relationships Australia NSW.
