Aaron Clapp has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Aaron started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida and later became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the same institution. Aaron then joined the Naval Research Laboratory as an NRC Postdoctoral Fellow, before moving on to Iowa State University as an Assistant Professor.
In 2013, Aaron joined Hubbard Decision Research as a Senior Quantitative Analyst, where they developed VBA-based software tools and collaborated with clients to build economic models. Aaron also authored various reports and proposals.
From 2013 to 2016, Aaron worked at Carestream Advanced Materials, taking on multiple roles of increasing responsibility, including Synthesis Scientist, R&D Manager - Nanowires, and Technical Manager - Synthesis and Formulation. Aaron led a team in the development of nanomaterials and formulation chemistry critical to transparent conductive film products. Aaron also played a key role in technology transfer to Carestream's manufacturing facility in White City, OR.
Since 2016, Aaron has been working at Carestream as a Technical Director - Media and recently transitioned to a Senior Principal Scientist role. Aaron'sexpertise lies in nanoparticle synthesis, formulation chemistry, spectroscopy, metrology, image processing, simulation, and data analysis.
Aaron Clapp has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, which they completed from 1992 to 1996. Aaron then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida from 1998 to 2000. Aaron Clapp further continued their education at the University of Florida, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from 1996 to 2001.
