Aidan Carr is the Regional Director in Scotland at Careys. After finishing his degree in Civil and Transport Engineering and spending two years working in Dublin, Aidan joined Careys in 2003 as a Site Engineer at the Royal Bank of Scotland Headquarters project at Gogarburn, Edinburgh.
From there he progressed to Senior Engineer on the City of Edinburgh Council building before becoming a Project Manager and then Contracts Manager working on projects including the Livingston shopping centre development, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and multiple schools.
In 201, Aidan was promoted to Head of Delivery where projects included the Aberdeen Events and Conference Centre and Keadby Power Station. Every day is different in construction and the variety of projects they get to work on and people they get to meet is really enjoyable. He's particularly interested in the energy market and wants to learn how they can develop their offering because he see a very bright future for Careys in that market.
Aidan's time outside of work centres around his family with his wife and him being kept busy by their two young sons aged three and four. He enjoys keeping fit and when the Scottish weather allows it, he's often found in the garden enjoying a barbeque.
