Vivek "Vick" Khera has a long and varied work history. Vivek "Vick" began their career in 1986 as a Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland College Park. In 1990, they joined the Design Research Team at MCNC. In 1992, they acted as a Student Representative in the Network Security Working Group at Duke University, as well as a Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science. In 1995, they co-founded and became the Chief Technical Officer of GovCon, Inc. In 2001, they co-founded and became the Chief Technical Officer of MailerMailer LLC. In 2018, they joined WealthEngine as the Director of Enterprise Architecture, where they worked with business stakeholders to recommend and design solutions, architected and product managed a cloud-based multi-terabyte data platform, and restructured database schemas. In 2021, they joined Carfeine as the Chief Technology Officer.
Vivek "Vick" Khera began their educational journey at Richard Montgomery High School from 1982 to 1985. Vivek "Vick" then attended the University of Maryland from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Afterward, they returned to Duke University from 1988 to 1992 and obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science. Finally, they completed their education at Duke University from 1992 to 1994, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science.
