Seán Leighton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs. Currently serving as the Global Vice President of Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Affairs at Cargill since January 2017, Seán previously held senior roles at The Coca-Cola Company, including Vice President of Quality Assurance, Safety & Environmental Sustainability, where responsibilities included leading food safety programs and advancing environmental sustainability goals across manufacturing plants. Seán's background features significant expertise in microbiology, demonstrated through various roles, including leading a microbiology team at Coca-Cola, and serving as a subject matter expert in food safety. Seán's educational foundation includes a Master of Business Administration from Emory University, a Master of Science in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
