Tertius Beneke

Tertius Beneke currently serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Cargolux Airlines, a position held since January 2023. Previously, Tertius held significant roles in environmental management, including Head of Environmental Management at High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd from April 2019 to January 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing sustainability for the UK's planned high-speed railway project. Prior experience includes Group Environmental Manager at Qatar Airways from November 2015 to March 2019, managing environmental initiatives across a multitude of subsidiaries. Tertius also contributed to Network Rail from 2006 to 2015 in various capacities, including acting Head of Environment and Sustainability, where notable achievements included ISO 14001 certification for Infrastructure Projects. Tertius holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Management from the University of London and additional qualifications in Business Management and Architecture and Systems Engineering.
