Dr. Candis Fields-Johnson, Ed.D has extensive experience in various leadership and development roles. Dr. Candis is currently working as the HR Vice President of Global Talent Management at Carhartt since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Learning & Development for Global Operations & IT at AstraZeneca from 2020 to 2022.
Before their tenure at AstraZeneca, Dr. Fields-Johnson worked at Penske Transportation Solutions as the Director of Talent and Organizational Development from 2019 to 2020. Dr. Candis was responsible for leading a team that focused on leadership, talent, and functional development programs.
From 2014 to 2019, Dr. Fields-Johnson held the position of Director of Learning and Talent Development/Organizational Effectiveness at Saint-Gobain. In this role, they oversaw the company's Learning and Talent Development function for the North America delegation.
Prior to that, Dr. Fields-Johnson worked at Merck in various roles including Senior Business Consultant/Internal Process Excellence Leader/Chief of Staff for Diversity from 2012 to 2013, Learning Development Manager from 2011 to 2012, Learning & Development Professional from 2008 to 2011, and Snr. Scientist-Vaccine Manufacturing from 2006 to 2008. At Merck, they focused on driving positive business results and organizational transformations through lean practices, talent development, and learning and development strategies.
Dr. Candis Fields-Johnson, Ed.D has a post-doctoral education in Human Resource Management and holds the certifications of SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP from Villanova University in 2016. Dr. Candis earned their Doctor of Education (EdD) in Education and Strategic Leadership from Neumann University between 2008 and 2014. Dr. Fields-Johnson also completed their Master of Science (MS) in Organizational Development and Training at Saint Joseph's University from 2005 to 2007. Dr. Candis'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Temple University.
