Malte Staehr

Malte Staehr is an experienced product owner and leader in the field of autonomous driving functions, currently serving as a Senior Product Owner at CARIAD since July 2022. Malte has a strong background in guiding development teams in creating embedded software for highly autonomous driving solutions within a scaled agile framework. Previously, Malte held a similar role at AUDI AG, where responsibilities included conceptualizing, implementing, and testing functions related to map-based path planning and driver interaction while ensuring adherence to functional safety standards. Malte also contributed to the establishment of a product team focused on 'swarm functions' and managed backend services during a tenure at AUDI AG. As the founder of PriceNow UG, Malte developed a data-driven marketing solutions platform and began a career that included internships at BMW de Latinoamérica and Airbus Defence and Space. Malte holds both a Master's and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
