Akeel Alidina

Executive Director at Caridon Property

Akeel showed at an early age. a natural appetite for business. He started his own company and made a profit aged just 15, before becoming the top seller at a leading telecommunications provider whilst completing his tertiary education.

In 2007, Akeel graduated with a B.Sc in Economics. It was during this time that he began investing in property and eventually managing a small portfolio of properties in London via professional room shares and HMOs, while attaining his degree.

He gained corporate experience working for GE Money Home Lending as an Intern Project Manager where he attained his Green Belt Six Sigma accreditation and led on a high profile Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) compliance project, skills that would become invaluable later in his career.

Akeel joined Caridon Property soon after its inception in 2009 and has played an instrumental role in the strategic development of the organisation. He continues to drive business growth with his strong leadership and management skills.

Akeel writes for magazines such as London Business Matters and publishes his work on LinkedIn. In 2012 he was in the top 5% of viewed profiles across the global LinkedIn platform. He is in the process of writing his first book which is due to be published soon.

In his spare time, Akeel is involved in his local community. He mentors young students, assisting them with their professional development in preparation for further education and the work-place. He volunteers at a local community school and London’s CASS Business School.He is also active in supporting young entrepreneurs and start-ups on accessing with micro finance, seed investment and mentorship.

Akeel is an active footballer and chaired his local football club to success with an FA-affiliated championship.
