Briana Apgar

Briana Apgar is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Biodesign Program Manager for the Carilion Clinic Biodesign Program at Virginia Tech, which focuses on fostering medical innovation through collaboration between clinicians and engineers. Additionally, Briana acts as a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant at Carilion Clinic, leading initiatives aimed at promoting equity within the organization and the community. As an adjunct faculty member at Roanoke College, Briana teaches courses related to Social Determinants of Health and Adolescent Health. Previous roles include Director of Center Operations at Warm Hearth Village, where Briana championed person-centered care and DEI initiatives, and Population Health Manager for the Virginia Department of Health, where partnerships were developed to address health disparities. Briana holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, an MPH from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, and has extensive experience in community health and marketing.
