Donna H. Rhodes

Donna H. Rhodes, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Donna H. is currently serving as the Senior Director of Human Resources at Carilion Clinic since May 2023. Prior to this, Donna held the position of Human Resources Business Director at Carilion Clinic, where they worked from December 2012 onwards.

Before joining Carilion Clinic, Donna was the Human Resources Director at Solstas Lab Partners from October 2007 to December 2012. Donna H. was responsible for developing and directing the administration of strategic HR policies and programs.

Donna also served as the Human Resources Manager at TM GE Automation Systems LLC from August 2003 to October 2007. Donna H. played a crucial role in developing and implementing HR initiatives to support the strategic vision of the business.

Earlier in their career, Donna worked at Carilion Health System, where they held various roles including Team Leader/Human Resources Consultant, Human Resources Consultant, and Benefits Representative. Donna H. proposed and created new initiatives, developed and implemented HR solutions, and provided mentorship and training to leaders and HR staff.

Donna's career began at Roanoke Memorial Hospitals as a Recruiter in October 1992, and they also worked as an Employment Specialist at ADIA/Carilion Health System from March 1992 to October 1992.

Donna H. Rhodes, SPHR, SHRM-SCP completed their education at Radford University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology in 1990. Donna H. continued their education at Radford University and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from 1990 to 1992. In addition, Donna has obtained certifications such as the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in April 2015. Donna H. also holds the Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
