Gary Simonds

Gary Simonds is a distinguished medical educator with extensive experience in the field of neurosurgery and healthcare education. Currently serving as a Medical Educator at Medmastery since June 2021, Simonds has created multiple courses in clinical neurosciences and topics related to burnout and resilience. As a retired Chief of Neurosurgery, Simonds is focused on writing and collaborating with the Virginia Tech School of Neuroscience. Notable publications include contributions to "Building Resilience in Neurosurgical Residents" and "The Thriving Physician." Educational roles include professorships at Virginia Tech School of Neuroscience and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Previously, Simonds held significant positions at Carilion Clinic and Geisinger Medical Center, among others.
