Jon M. Sweet

Dr. Jon M. Sweet is currently the Interim Chair of the Department of Medicine at Carilion Clinic. Jon previously served as Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Virginia from January 2001 to December 2012. Prior to that, they were with Carilion Clinic and Wright State University, where they served as Associate Clerkship Director and Staff Internist, respectively.

Dr. Sweet received their medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in 1993 and completed their residency training in internal medicine at Wright-Patterson USAF Medical Center in 2000. Jon is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Jon M. Sweet is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where they earned their MD and BA in Interdisciplinary Studies as an Echols Scholar. Jon is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
