Catalina Gonzalez Verdugo

Associate Attorney at Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos

Catalina Gonzalez Verdugo is an accomplished attorney specializing in Competition Law and M&A, currently serving as an Associate Attorney at Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos since June 2018. In addition to their legal practice, Catalina is a Professor of Economic Legislation at Universidad del Desarrollo since March 2019 and has previously worked as a Research Assistant in Competition Law and Public International Law at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. Catalina played an instrumental role as the Team Advisor for the UCL team in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition during the 2016-2017 academic year. Earlier experience includes positions at Prieto y Cía. and Morales & Besa, focusing on various aspects of law including commercial arbitration and bankruptcy law. Academic qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) in Competition Law from UCL and a diploma in Competition Law and Policy from Universidad de Chile, complemented by a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Corporate Law from Universidad de los Andes.
