Elma Contreras

Elma Contreras, HT, QIHC, serves as Senior Director of IHC and Laboratory Operations at Caris Life Sciences since February 2014, with a focus on the optimization and validation of new IHC antibodies. Prior roles at Caris include Senior Director, IHC Development and Operations, Director, IHC Development and Operations, and several managerial positions in IHC development support. Elma holds QIHC certification since December 2014 and began a career at Miraca Life Sciences as a Histotech II in the IHC area, achieving ASCP certification in June 2011. Educational qualifications include a degree in Histologic Technology from Phoenix College and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Hermosillo.
