Hani El Shawa

Hani El Shawa currently serves as Area Vice President of Molecular Science Liaisons at Caris Life Sciences since May 2021, following a tenure as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer at Alpha Genomix Laboratories from September 2013 to May 2021. Previously, Hani worked as an Assistant Professor at the American University of the Middle East from August 2012 to August 2013 and as a Lecturer at California State University, Dominguez Hills from August 2011 to August 2012, where Hani taught laboratory courses in biology. Hani also held an Adjunct Faculty position at the University of California, Riverside from August 2007 to August 2012, teaching various psychology and neuroscience courses and mentoring graduate students. Hani holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience from the University of California, Riverside, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Physiology and Behavioral Biology, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Physiology, both from San Francisco State University.
