Joanna Schmidt

Joanna Schmidt has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2002 when they were a Student Assistant at Texas Tech University. Joanna then moved to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2004, where they held the roles of Graduate Research and Student Assistant. In 2006, they became a Research Associate II at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, followed by a Senior Associate role at Amgen in 2009. In 2012, they joined Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they held the roles of Lab Manager, Senior Research Associate, and Research Associate. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Senior Manager - Scientific Operations at Carisma Therapeutics.

Joanna Schmidt attended Texas Tech University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Joanna then attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology.
