Lauren Shaw

Lauren Shaw has worked for Carisma Therapeutics since 2023 as a Scientist - Discovery. From 2017 to 2023, they were a Graduate Student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where they earned their PhD in Pharmacology with Dr. Daniel J. Powell Jr. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Junior Research Technician at the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Dr. Danielle Reed's lab. In collaboration with Estée Lauder, they identified evidence of extra-oral expression of bitter taste receptors in human skin for their Master's thesis. Lauren also worked as a Work Study Student at the Biddle Law Library from 2016 to 2017.

Lauren Shaw attended the University of Pennsylvania from 2013 to 2022, earning a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in 2017, a Master of Science in Chemistry in 2016, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology in 2022.
