Shuo Huang

Scientist II at Carisma Therapeutics

Shuo Huang is currently a Scientist at Carisma Therapeutics, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Cincinnati from 2016-2022. During that time, they developed expertise in dendritic cells, monocytes, macrophages, and T cells, and was responsible for designing and executing studies to assess the immunological impact of various infectious agents or drugs on mice and primary immune cells. From 2015-2016, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at Dr. Thomas Inzana's Lab, where they maintained bovine kidney epithelial cell line and THP-1 cell line, visualized biofilm structures with Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization and Confocal Microscope, prepared high-quality DNA for whole-genome sequencing, and associated with maintaining lab inventory and supply.

Shuo Huang attended Virginia Tech from 2012 to 2016, where they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in biology and chemistry. Shuo then attended the University of Cincinnati from 2016 to 2022, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine.
