Lauren Jasinski

Lauren Jasinski serves as the Civic Education Manager and previously held the role of Civic Education Specialist at the Carl Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy since March 2023. Additionally, Lauren is a School Board Member for Royal Oak Schools, starting in January 2023, and is a Steering Committee Member for End Gun Violence MI since June 2022, acting as the liaison to the Michigan Education Association. Lauren's earlier experience includes over nine years as a High School Social Studies Teacher and a 7th Grade Humanities Teacher at Oxford Community Schools (2012-2022), alongside mentoring at the Oakland Youth Innovation Lab and serving as a Student Teaching Mentor Teacher at Oakland University during 2018-2021. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and Curriculum and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy, both from Michigan State University.
