Dr. Hazem Ibrahim

Dr. Hazem Ibrahim has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Software Test Lead at ZEISS Group since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Professor at German International University - GIU from 2021 to 2023. Dr. Hazem also served as a Senior Quality Engineer and Senior Software Test Automation Developer at Husqvarna Group from 2017 to 2022. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Test Engineer at ALTEN GmbH / ALTEN SW GmbH from 2016 to 2017. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IIS and University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from 2013 to 2016. Dr. Hazem'searliest work experience includes roles as a Lecture Assistance and Teacher and Research Assistant at German University in Cairo from 2007 to 2012, where they taught various courses related to electrical and communication engineering, conducted research, and supervised student projects.

Dr. Hazem Ibrahim received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cairo University in the years 2000 to 2005. Dr. Hazem then pursued a Master's degree in the same field at Cairo University from 2007 to 2010. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Ibrahim has obtained several certifications such as Expert Level Test Manager (CTAL) from the ISTQB, ISTQB Foundation Level, and has received a paper award from The forty-fourth Annual Asilomar Conference on Signal-System and Computers in California, USA in 2010. Dr. Hazem also completed the TestProject CI/CD with Docker and Jenkins Workshop in 2020.
