Dr. Holger Kasinger

Dr. Holger Kasinger has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the IT field. Dr. Holger is currently serving as the Vice President IT and Head of Digital Experience Platforms at ZEISS Group since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Stadtwerke München GmbH for over a decade, where they held several leadership positions. Dr. Holger served as the Vice President IT and Head of Digital Solutions and Technologies from April 2019 to December 2022, in which they were responsible for engineering digital solutions for over 1 million citizens in Munich. Before that, they worked as the Director IT and Head of Digital Customer Solutions from January 2018 to March 2019, where they focused on energy and mobility businesses. Dr. Holger also held the role of Software Engineering Manager IT and Head of Digital Customer Interfaces from May 2016 to December 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked as an IT Project Manager from June 2012 to April 2016 and as a Senior Software Engineer from August 2010 to May 2012 at Stadtwerke München GmbH. Prior to joining the company, they worked as a Researcher, Lecturer, and PhD Candidate at Universität Augsburg from February 2005 to July 2010. Dr. Holger also served as a Research Assistant at the same university from October 2001 to December 2004.

Dr. Holger Kasinger received their education in the field of Computer Science. Dr. Holger obtained a Master's degree (Dipl.-Inf.) from the University of Augsburg, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Dr. Holger then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Augsburg from 2005 to 2010. During their PhD program, they also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Calgary from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Kasinger has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation and ITIL V3 Foundation certifications from TÜV SüD in 2016 and 2012 respectively, and they became a member of the Information Technology Committee at VDI Verein Deutscher Ingenieure e.V. in 2020. Dr. Holger is currently pursuing a certification named "Die 7 schlimmsten Kommunikationsfehler" from LinkedIn, with an expected completion in 2023.
