Lothar Färber

Lothar Färber has extensive work experience in procurement and management roles. Lothar began their career in 1995 as a Sales and Service Representative at Weyer GmbH. Lothar then worked at EPCOS AG as a Global Commodity Manager from 1998 to 2003. Färber joined Carl Zeiss SMT in 2003, where they served as a Commodity Manager and team leader until 2008. Lothar then moved to Carl Zeiss Optronics, where they held the position of Director Procurement from 2008 to 2010, responsible for Defense and Avionic procurement and dealing with offset obligations. Most recently, they have been working at Carl Zeiss Group as the Vice President of Corporate Procurement since 2011.

Lothar Färber obtained a degree in Diplom Ing. Feinwerktechnik from Fachhochschule Karlsruhe between 1994 and 1998. Prior to that, Lothar Färber pursued a field of study in Betriebswirt at VWA Ulm from 1998 to 2000. Before entering university, Lothar Färber studied Feinwerktechnik/ Nachrichtengerätemechaniker at AEG Telefunken, though the specific years of this education are not known.
