Eric Schorsch

Eric Schorsch currently serves as the Head of Clinical Affairs at ZEISS Medical Technology, where responsibilities include leading the clinical team to expedite US product approvals. Prior to this role, Schorsch was the Senior Director of Clinical Affairs at Acutus Medical, Inc., focusing on clinical leadership within a start-up environment to manage an IDE study for PMA submission. Schorsch's career at Abbott included serving as DVP Field Clinical Affairs, where integration of the Abbott/St. Jude Medical clinical organization took place under senior leadership's guidance. Earlier, at St. Jude Medical, Schorsch advanced from manager to Vice President of Field Clinical Engineers, significantly reducing budgetary constraints and creating a unified clinical organization. Initial experience in clinical leadership came at Cardiac Assist Technologies, where innovative circulatory support devices were developed. Schorsch holds a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
