Debbie Sarantopoulos-Palese

Debbie Sarantopoulos-Palese, MS, RHIA, currently serves as Vice President of HIM and Revenue Cycle Systems and Training at Carle Health, which is set to expand with the addition of three more hospitals in 2023. Prior to this role, Debbie held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, teaching various courses in the Health Information Management (HIM) program. With extensive experience in health information management, Debbie was the Vice President and Chief Privacy Officer at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, where responsibilities included national HIM operations and privacy policy development. Additional leadership roles were held at Presence Mercy Medical Center, Amazing Healthcare Solutions, Northwest Community Hospital, and Holy Family Medical Center, focusing on operational management, compliance, and revenue cycle oversight. Debbie holds a Master of Science in Informatics from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from the University of Illinois Chicago.
